About

When Hassan-Behrouz Lavassany puts his touch on paper, drawing in acrylic patterns that certainly require a magnifying loupe to be seen and admired, he does it with grace and with a natural flow, using his eyes and fingers, and without help from any magnifying tool.

The power of the finished product stops one in their tracks to look at and analyze what they've just seen. One cannot pass by his work without at least zooming in or touching the paper, as if, by some miracle, touching it would explain the amount of work behind this work.

Depicted here is a partial glimpse of an astonishing work that is to be displayed soon as part of a special project. The power of this particular piece (irrespective of the detailed work) is that overall it shows the movement that one observes in the body of an elegant dancer.

An artist, actor, writer, poet, director, a founding member of Arte, a sensitive soul, and a great cook — Hassan combines it all as a survivor who overcame the calamities of life in a grateful way.
